IN REPLY PLEASE REFER TO:
ALFRED T. MARSHALL
IRVING 1. AXELRAD
Honorable Richard Nixon
Vice President
Senate Office Building
Washington, D. C.
Dear Dick:
I have just gotten back from a vacation
in Hawaii. One of the happy experiences during
that trip was reading in the overseas edition of
Time the analysis of your growing success in Wash-
ington and the fine impression you are making on
the national scene.
This article merely expresses a view-
point that has been growing over the country.
I
am sure you realize the deep satisfaction your
success is to all of your own old friends. It is
of course not only a personal matter, but a measure
of a great contribution to the needs and welfare of
our country.
Sincerely,
mbs : 1b
