"Robbie" presided over the Tent's organizational meeting on January 19th of that year, and the Tent's first "roast" was staged just four months later on May 26th, 1952. Over those 35 years from 1952 through 1986, we have staged a total of 128 roastings, for -- since some were double-headers, or more -- a total of 139 Fall Guys and Dolls. At every roasting we have made a generous contribution to the charity that has been selected by the roast's Fall Guy or Fall Doll -- a tribute to the good sports that all these fine people have been. They have all taken our roastings with graciousness and good nature, to help to aid the imposing array of worthy charities that we have benefitted over our 35 years of support to those who have not been so fortunate as we have been. His forty minute address was full of his humor, commons sense and vivid illustrations as he once again reiterated "Positive Thinking Works Wonders", One of the examples he gave about how people think- - He was walking in Chinstown in a major city and was going past a tatoo parlor when a certain tatoo in the window cought his eye. BORN To LOSE stated the tatoo. -2- Curcous, he went inside and inquired whether people really would inscribe such an a regative statement permanently on their bodies. of course, replied the shop owner, but before tatoo on body - -tatoo on mind!" A'm encouraging you to keep the tatoo on your mind "one of strength, ability, determination and accomplishment so that then in reality it is what will take place "on the body of america." my respect, Marie Pikul
