Dear Mr. President,
Now that the trumpets have quieted, please allow
me this opportunity to extend my warmest congratulations
to you and Mrs. Reagan on your brilliant reelection. I
am especially proud to be a member of your Administration
during this historic period in our Nation's history.
I am enclosing a copy of the front page coverage
of King Hassan's personal letter to you in which he states
that he "voted for you from the bottom of his heart". This
unprecedented message conveys better than anything I could
say Morocco's admiration and esteem for you and our country.
I wish you and Mrs. Reagan all continued success in
your extraordinary leadership and representation of America
in the next four years.
God bless you both.
Respectfully,
The President

Dear Mike,
The end of the campaign is in sight and as I write
this I have every confidence the President will go over
the goal line. You and Caroline will surely need a rest
and please remember that Villa America awaits you. If
you can't fit it in November, why don't you try to come
during the Christmas - New Year's period. I expect to
be in Connecticut and so Villa America will be yours.
I have also booked a set of rooms at the Maumonia Hotel
in Marrakech for New Year's which is traditionally a
splendid time. Think about it and let me know.
With warmest good wishes.

Dear Mike:
I thought you might enjoy having one of
the new 1981-A series dollar bills which I am
presenting to each Cabinet Officer today. The
1981-A series results from the appointment of
the new Treasurer of the United States,
Katherine Davalos Ortega, whose signature will
appear on the Federal Reserve Notes along with
mine.
The new bills will most likely begin
appearing in circulation in April, as supplies
of the current dollar bills dwindle and are
gradually replaced.
With best wishes.
Sincerely,

Dear Nancy:
This is in response to your letter of February 17
requesting a videotape message of welcome from the Presi-
dent for the Touche Ross and Company's seminar being held
in Washington in early November.
Although the President would enjoy the opportunity of
assisting you, unfortunately, we must extend his regrets.
We hope you understand that because he receives many more
of these requests than he can accept, we must decline them
all due to the many demands on his official schedule.
With the President's appreciation for your interest and
warmest best wishes,
Sincerely,

Dear Mike:
On November 1st, 2nd and 3rd, just before the election, our
client Touche Ross and Company will be bringing 850 of their
managing parterns to Washington for a three day seminar. They
have requested a videotape message of welcome from the
President. I am hoping very much that it will be possible to
fill this request. Since the message is generic it could be
taped at anytime.
I really would appreciate any help you can give. I'll be
making a follow up call regarding this matter sometime early
March.

Dear Mike:
I was pleased and proud to read Time Magazine's
recent (August 27, 1984) article on your role in the
Reagan Administration. It must be reassuring to
you to know that a national magazine again takes
note of the confidence that the President and Nancy
repose in your judgement.
I noticed the author ignored or was not aware
of your few years in San Jose, before joining the
Reagan staff. Remember some of the names? Tom
Hughes, Vic Owens, Al Sims, John Longinotti( retired
Superior Court Judge), Jerry Ducote, Clark Bradley
(defeated, retired state senator), William Stanton,
Chas. Gubser. These quickly come to mind. Remem-
ber wrestling with the old 25th Assembly District?
Just 20 years ago.
Well, enough of that. Sue Ellen and I offer
our best wishes and warmest regards.
Sincerely,
