Rev. Urshan is the General Superintendent of the 600,000 member

discuss the problems between the State education authorities and
Church operated schools in Nebraska. Rev. Urshan is urgently
requesting at least some indication of moral support from the
administration.
I told him that we were currently investigating what steps, if
any, would be appropriate, but that he should understand that
this appears on its face to be a local matter in which the
Federal legal process is not involved.
He strongly urged that Federal Constitutional rights of Freedom
of Religion are at stake.
