Marjorie Fluor 1920 Heliotrope Dr Santa Ana, CA 92706 January 25, 1983 Dear Mr. President: I was delighted to participate in the nationwide survey being conducted by Rear Admiral Dwight Johnson. I hope he will receive all the support he needs to enable him to stand before Congressmen and Senators and tell them he has positive results to the U.S. Military Conscription Survey. And because I mentioned your name to the Admiral I enclose a copy of my letter. Mr. President, I wish someone had started this movement before now. I pray with your help Admiral John- son will achieve the goal which will help to preserve our freedom. It seems to me, we are desperately in need of a draft, however unpopular this concept may be. As our President you know what you must do to keep America strong, be it a popular decision or not! Mr. President, I miss hearing from you and Nancy. When you were in California I saw you occasionally, and I feel fortunate to have letters which I treasure, But since you have been our President I have received not one letter! This is my third one to you. There is no doubt in my mind that you have unbeliev- able demands on your time and insurmountable problems to solve. If there were only some way I could be of value. It's true, I pray for you and Nancy every day. I support the Republican party as much as possible. But there must be something more I can do to lighten your awesome burden! If there is anything, anything at all, I implore you, call me day or night! With my deepest admiration and affection to you and Nancy, I am, Sincerely yours, Marjorie
