Centual File 112241 5 PR007-02 Alpha & Omega AH 15 1/2 LANZ LANE 203-872-0345 ELLINGTON, CT 06029 March 14, 1983 NBP4 no President and Mrs. Ronald Reagan The White House Washington, D.C. Dear President and Mrs. Reagan, Rachel and I and all the children wish to thank you for your warm and sincere phone call. We are still reeling from the events of last week. All seems to be returning to normal now, children busy in school, dirty dishes and all the mundane things of family life. I have enclosed a couple of articles which I thought you might enjoy and which will give you an idea of what we have been about over the past decade. I have so many thoughts and feelings at the moment but am almost at a loss as to how to convey them. I suspect that the important message has come to all of us through Benjamin. When Ben was baptized the priest pronounced, "May Benjamin see with God's eyes, hear with God's ears, and speak with God's tongue--and may the presence of Benjamin be a sign to all of the presence of God. 11 Truly I think that was Prophetic. We are looking forward to our trip to Washington, but I must admit I feel the weight of such great responsibility. It is a difficult time, one in which there are strong feelings and much divisiveness on many issues. But out of it I am convinced we will all converge together much stronger and more able to face the great problems of today. Well, so much for my lofty thoughts. We all send to you our warmest personal regards and respect. Most Sincerely, Carl J. Rossow "Papa" P.S. The picture arrived and we share display it proudly in our home. A Concerned with the creative unfolding - - physically, mentally and spiritually - - of children with multiple handicaps. Contributions to Alpha and Omega Foundation, Inc. are tax deductible.
