will meet very briefly (approximately 1-2 minutes, while
they remain standing) with Inspector ED MILLER of the
Washington headquarters, FBI, who is conducting the annual
inspection of the Sacramento FBI Office. He will be ac-
companied by TED ROSACK, Assistant Special Agent in Charge
of the Sacramento Office, and TOM GRIFFIN, FBI liaison with
the Governor's Office.
These men will have met with Herb Ellingwood, Ed Hickey and
me at 9:15 a.m. The purpose of their visit is merely a
"courtesy call." You may wish to express our appreciation
for the outstanding cooperation and support which the four
FBI divisions in California (Sacramento, San Francisco, Los
Angeles and San Diego) have rendered to all agencies of
state government, and particularly to our Office. In par-
ticular, we appreciate the close liaison with JOHN WILLIAMS,
