Generally, this is a meeting of the entire OEO staff, both professional and clerical, and the purpose of the meeting is designed solely for morale purposes of this staff. 2. Mr. Uhler wanted to in some way express his thanks to the entire staff for the long hours and weekends spent on behalf of the Governor in researching and compiling the publication of the CRLA report. It was felt that the best way he could express his thanks was to have a meeting with the Governor. 3. At the same time, we have purchased a plaque to be given to Marilyn Pearson. Mrs. Pearson is the Senior Account Clerk for this office and takes care of all the travel requests and expenses for the entire staff. She has been with the State for 15 years. Mrs. Pearson always seems to find a way to accomplish what appear to be insoluble requests. The giving of the plaque is also quite appro- priate at this time in view of the fact that state employees want a raise and there is quite a bit of bad feeling towards the Governor with regard to this issue. 4. Mr. Uhler will individually introduce each member of the staff to the Governor and after he has made the introductions, the Governor could say a few words about how he appreciates the work that the entire OEO staff has done and that it would be difficult for him to individually congratulate and express his appreciation to each member of this staff and at this point, the Governor will present the plaque to Mrs. Pearson. 5. At that point, the meeting is concluded and we would require use of the conference room for an additional 15 minutes for the purpose of Mr. Uhler expressing his thanks to the staff. There will be a photographer present from HRD.
