To confirm our conversation, the process for selection for the Governor's nominees
for the 1973 Young American Medal for Bravery and Service has been completed. A
letter from the Governor was sent to the Attorney General in Washington nominating
five outstanding young Californians for the coveted awards.
As in the past, a Young Californians Medallion for Bravery and Service will be pre-
sented to the same five to insure that they receive recognition for their outstanding
acts. Enclosed is a description of their accomplishments and of the Young American
Bravery and Service Award program.
