IN THE MATTER OF THE APPLIGATION OF John maner an Alien, to become a CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. IN OPEN COURT, this 8 day of Zey A. D. 1890 IT APPEARING TO THE SATISFACTION OF THIS COURT, by the oaths of and Citizens of the United States of America, witnesses for that purpose, first duly sworn and examined, that a native of twenty-one years and that he has continued to reside in the United States to the present time, and has resided within the limits and under the juriediction of the United States Stamany has resided in the United States of America three years next preceding his arriving at the age of five years at least, last past, and within the State of California for one year, last past; and that during all of said five years' time he has behaved as a man of good moral char- acter, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same; and the said applicant has declared his intention to become a citizen of the United States, and having now here before this Court taken an oath that he will support the Constitution of the United States of America, and that he doth absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to William Empuar of Germany IT IS to THEREFORE be CITIZEN ORDERED, ADJUDGED OF THE AND DECREED, UNITED that the STATES said July OF AMERICA. mayer bq and he is hereby admitted and declared a JUDGE.
