I am not a polygamist nor a believer in the practice of polygamy. I am attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and it is my intention to\nbecome\na\neitizen\nof\nthe\nUnited\nStates\nand\nto\nrenounce\nabsolutely\nand\nforever\nall\nallegiance\nand\nfidelity\nto\nany\nforeign\nprince,\npotentate,\nstate,\nor\nsovereignty,\nand\nparticularly\nto\nit the\npermanently Gustavus in the United V.
