happiness of the United States. It is my intention to become a citizen of the United States and to renounce absolutely and forever
all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty, and particularly to
George V. by the grace of God, of Great Britain, Ireland and the British
Dominions beyond the Seas King, Defender of the Faith, Emperor of India
of whom (which) at this time I am
a subject (or citizen); and it is my intelition to reside permanently in the United States. (8) I am able to speak the
