San Diego (2) My occupation is\nNurse\n(3)\nI\nwas\nborn\nin Caynham, England\non\nNov. 17 1867\nMy race is\nEngliah\n(4) I declared my intention to become a eltizen of the United States on Feby. 29 1928\nin the\nSuperior\nCourt of\nCalifornia\nat\nSan Diego, California\n(5) am widowa. The name of or husband Samuel\nwe were married on\nAugust\n1892\nat\ntharterstowers\nAustralia\n;\nhe was\nIreland\nborn at\non\n; entered the United States\nat\non\nfor permanent residence therein, and now\nresides at\ndeceased\nI have\nno Children, and the name, date,\nand place of birth, and place of residence of each of said children are as follows:\n(6) My last foreign residence was\nLeominater, England\nI emigrated to the United States of\nAmerica from\nLiverpool\nEngland\nMy lawful entry for permanent residence in the United States\nwas at\nNew York\nunder the name of\nSelina Graham\non\nSept ember 27 1913\non the vessel\nS. S. Baltic\nas shown by the certificate of my arrival attached hereto.\n(7)\nI am not a disbeliever in or opposed to organized government or a member of or affiliated with any organization or body of persons teaching disbelief in or opposed\nto\norganized\ngovernment. I am not a polygamist nor a believer in the practice of polygamy. I am attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States\nand well disposed to the good order and happiness of the United States. It is my intention to become a citizen of the United States and to renounce\nabsolutely\nand\nforever\nall alle George V. by Ho ann foreign primoe, poter Great and the British\nDominions\nbeyond\nthe\nSeus D efender of the Faith, Emperor of India.\nof whom (which) at this time I am a subject (or citizen), and it is my intention to reside permanently in the United States. (8) I am able to speak the English language.\n(9) I have resided continuously in the United States of America for the term of five years at least immediately preceding the date of this petition, to wit, since\nSep tember 27 1913\nand in the County of\nSan Diego\nOctober\n2\n1913\nthis State, continuously next preceding the date of this petition, since\nbeing a residence within said county of at least\nsix months next preceding the date of this petition.\n(10)\nI\nhave\nnot\nheretofore made petition for citizenship: Number\non\nat\nand such petition was denied by that Court for the following reasons and causes, to wit:\nand the cause of such denial has since been cured or removed.\nAttached hereto and made a part of this. my petition for citizenship, are my declaration of intention to become a citizen of the United States, certificate from the\nDepartment of Labor of my said arrival, and the affidavits of the two verifying witnesses required by law.\nTherefore, I, your petitioner, pray that I may be admitted a citizen of the United States of America, and that my name be changed to\nI,\nyour aforesaid petitioner being duly sworn. depose and say that I have read this petition and know the contents thereof; that the same is true\nof\nmy own knowledge except as to matters herein stated to be alleged upon information and belief, and that as to those matters I believe it to be true; and that this petition\nis signed by me with my full, true name.\nmr Selina Graham\n(Complete and true signature of petitioner)\nAFFIDAVITS OF WITNESSES\nClinton J. Lester\nRetired\noccupation\nresiding\nat 1645 Ninth Street, San Diego, California\nand\nHannah M. Lester\noccupation\nHousewife\nresiding at\n1645 Ninth Street, San Diego, Gal Lifornia\neach being severally, duly, and respectively sworn, deposes and says that he is a citizen of the United States of America; that he has personally known and has been\nacquainted in the United States with\nSelina Graham\nthe\npetitioner\nabove\nmentioned,\nsince\nApril\n1,\n1925\nand that to his personal knowledge the petitioner has resided in the United States continuously preceding the date of filing this petition, of which this affidavit is a\npart, to wit, since the date last mentioned, and at\nSan Diego\nin the County of\nSan Diego\nthis State, in which the above-entitled petition is made, continuously since April 1\n1925\nand that he has personal knowledge that the\npetitioner is and during all such periods has been a person of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well dis-\nhappjenss of the Exited States, and that in his opinion the petitioner is in every way qualified to be admitted a citizen of able United States.\nposed to the good order and (Signature of witnems)\nHannsh Gharie Lester\n(Signature of witness)\nSubscribed and swort to before me by the above-named petitioner and witnesses in the office of the Clerk of said Court at San Diega, Cal.\nthis\n29th\nday of\nApril\nAnno Domini\n19.\n30\nI\nhereby certify that certificate of arrival No.\n23-4399\nfrom the Department of Labor, showing the lawful entry for permanent residence of the petitioner above named, together with declaration of intention No.\n4698\nof such petitioner, has been by me filed with, attached to, and made a part of this petition on this date.\nBy B.
