    "ocrText": "ORIGINAL\nUNITED STATES OF AMERICA\n3054\nNo.\nPETITION FOR CITIZENSHIP\nTo the Honorable the\nSuperior\nCourt of\nCalifornia\nat\nSan Diego\n57\nThe petition of\nLucas Henry Frederick Siefker\n510 80, cleveland\nhereby filed, respectfully showar\n(1) My place of residence is Cafif.\n(2) My occupation is\nWarber\n(3) I was born in\nSevmour\nIndiana\nthat: Canada\non January 7 1873 My race is German\n(4) I declared my intention to become a citizen of the United States on November 8 1923 in\nthe\nSuperior\nCourt of\nCalifornia\nat\nSan Diego\n(5) am -- married. The name of my wife or\nLotta\nwe were married on Moy emb em 27 1927\nat\nOceanside, California\n.;\nhe was\nborn at\nNew Madison, Ohio\non\nNov ember 11 1884\n: entered the United States\nat\non\nfor permanent residence therein, and now\nresides at\nOceanside, California\nI have 2\nchildren, and the name, date,\nand place of birth, and place of residence of each of said children are as follows:\nLucas M., Feby. 25, 1896,\nLouisville, Ky., Oceanside, California; Clementine, Aug. 6, 1901,\nLouisville, Ky., Miami, Florida\n(6) My last foreign residence was\nNew Hasleton, Canada\nI emigrated to the United States of\nAmerica from\nPrince Rupert, Canada\nMy lawful entry for permanent residence in the United States\nwas\nat Seattle, Washington under the name of\nLucas Frederick Henry Siefker\non\nMay 17 1915\non\nthe vessel S. S. Prince George\nas shown by the certificate of my arrival attached hereto.\n(7)\nI am not a disbeliever in or opposed to organized government or a member of or affiliated with any organization or body of persons teaching disbelief in or opposed\nto organized government. I am not a polygamist nor a believer in the practice of polygamy. I am attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States\nand well disposed to the good order and happiness of the United States. It is my intention to become a citéren\nand\nforeven allegiamce and didelity to any foreign pringe, notentata, state, or sovereignty, and partiquiarly to\nGeorge by the grace of God, of Great Treland and the British\nDominions beyond the Seas King, Defender up the Faith, Emperor of India,\nof whom (which) at this time I am a subject (or citizen), and it is my intention to reside permanently in the United States. (8) I am able to speak the English language.\n(9) I have resided ontinuously in the United States of America for the term of five years at least immediately preceding the date of this petition, to wit, since\nMay 17 1915\nand in the County of\nSan Diego\nthis State, continuously next preceding the date of this petition, since\nSeptember\n1923\nbeing a residence within said county of at least\nsix months next preceding the date of this petition.\n(10)\nI\nhave\nnot heretofore made petition for citizenship: Number\non\nat\nand such petition was denied by that Court for the following reasons and causes, to wit:\nand the cause of such denial has since been cured or removed.\nAttached hereto and made a part of this. my petition for citizenship, are my declaration of intention to become a citizen of the United States, certificate from the\nDepartment of Labor of my said arrival, and the affidavits of the two verifying witnesses required by law.\nWherefore, I, your petitioner, pray that I may be admitted a citizen of the United States of America, and that my name\nbe\nchanged\nto\nI, your aforesaid petitioner being duly sworn. depose and say that I have\nthis\npetition\nand\nknow\nthe\ncontents\nthereof;\nthat\nthe\nsame\nis\ntrue\nof\nmy own knowledge except as to matters herein stated to be alleged upon information and belief, and that as to those matters I believe it to be true; and that this petition\nis signed by me with my full, true name.\nLucas Henry (Complete and true signature of pelitioner)\nAFFIDAVITS OF WITNESSES\nFred C. Janssen\noccupation\nReal Estate\nresiding at\n410 Summet Street, Oceanside, California\nand\nGuat Scheunemann\noccupation Retired\nresiding at\n608 Topeka Street, Oceanside California\neach being severally, duly and respectively sworn, deposes and says that he is a citizen of the United States of America; that he has personally known and has been\nacquainted in the United States with\nLucas Henry Frederick Siefker\nthe petitioner above mentioned, since\nJune 1, 1925\nand that to his personal knowledge the petitioner has resided in the United States continuously preceding the date of filing this petition, of which this affidavit is a\npart, to wit, since the date last mentioned, and at\nOceansid\nin the County of\nSan Diego\nthis\nState,\nin\nwhich\nthe\nabove-entitled\npetition\nis\nmade,\ncontinuously\nsince\nJune 1, , 1925\nand that he has personal knowledge that the\npetitioner is and during all such. periods has been a person of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well dis-\nposed to the good order and happiness of the United States, and that in his opinion the petitioner is in every way qualified to be admitted a citizen of the United States.\nNOTE\nJune\n(Signature of witnem)\n(Signature of witness)\nSubscribed and sworn before me by the above-named petitioner and witnesses in the office of the Clerk of said Court at\nSan Diego, Cal\nthis\n18th\nday of\nJune\nAnno Domini 19. 30 I hereby certify that certificate of arrival No.\n23-5971\nfrom the Department of Labor, showing the lawful entry for permanent residence of the petitioner above named, together with declaration of intention No.\n3376\nof such petitioner, has been by me filed with, attached to, and made a part of this petition on this date.\nBy Besphinson Deputy Clerk.\n(SEAL)\nClerk."
