ORIGINAL UNITED STATES OF AMERICA PETITION FOR CITIZENSHIP No. 3095 To the Honorable the Superi ox Court of Galifornia at San Diego 25 The petition of Mrs. Helga Hanaine Pedersen hereby filed, respectfully showa (1) My place of residence Bonair St., La Jolla, Cal .(2) My occupation is Dressmaker (3) I was born in Grimstrup, Denmark on Jany. 15 1905 My race is Scandinavian (4) I declared my intention to become a citizen of the United States on January 5 1928 in the Superior Court of California at San Diego, Galifornia - (5) am married. The name of or husband is Einer we were married on October 19 1929 at San Diega, California : he was born at Kongerslev. Denmark on August 29 1900 New York, New York ; entered the United States at on March 19 1923 La Jolla, California for permanent residence therein, and now resides at I have no children, and the name, date, and place of birth, and place of residence of each of said children are as follows: (6) My last foreign residence was Varde Denmark I emigrated to the United States of America from Gopenhagen Benmark My lawful entry for permanent residence in the United States was at New York, New York under the name of Helga H. Jensen on December 1 1923 on the vessel S. S. Frederik as shown by the certificate of my arrival attached hereto. (7) I am not a disbeliever in or opposed to organized government or a member of or affiliated with any organization or body of persons teaching disbelief in or opposed to organized government. I am not a polygamist nor a believer in the practice of polygamy. I am attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the United States. It is my intention to become a citizen of the United States and to renounce absolutely and forever all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty, and particularly to CHRISTIAN x., KING OF DENMARK & ICELAND of whom (which) at this time I am a subject (or citizen), and it is my intention to reside permanently in the United States. (8) I am able to speak the English (9) I have I in the United 1923 States of America for the term of five years at least immediately preceding the date of this petition, to wit, since language. and in the County of San Diego this State, continuously next preceding the date of this petition, since December 13 1923 being a residence within said county of at least six months next preceding the date of this petition. (10) I have not heretofore made petition for citizenship: Number on at and such petition was denied by that Court for the following reasons and causes, to wit: and the cause of such denial has since been cured or removed. Department of Labor of my said arrival, and the affidavits of the two verifying witnesses required by law. Attached hereto and made a part of this. my petition for citizenship, are my declaration of intention to become a citizen of the United States, certificate from the Wherefore, I, your petitioner, pray that I may be admitted a citizen of the United States of America, and that my name be changed to I, your sworn. and aforesaid petitioner being duly depose say that I have { this petition and know the contents thereof; that the same is true of is signed by me with my full, true name. my own knowledge except as to matters herein stated to be alleged upon information and belief, and that as to those matters I believe it to be true; and that this petition Helpe (Complete Hansine and true signature of petitioner) Pedersen AFFIDAVITS OF WITNESSES Hausmine Jorgensen occupation Housewife residing at 4641 Thie Street, San Diego, Califomia Minnie Christianson and occupation Housewife residing at 4114 30th Street, San Diego. Califomia each acquainted in the United States with being severally, duly, and respectively sworn, deposes and says that he is a citizen of the United States of America; that he has personally known and has been Helge Hansine Pedersen the petitioner above mentioned, since Julg 1 1925 and that to his personal knowledge the petitioner has resided in the United States continuously preceding the date of filing this petition, of which this affidavit is a part, to wit, since the date last mentioned, and at San. Diego in the County of San Diago this State, in which the above-entitled petition is made, continuously since July 1 1925 petitioner is and during all such periods has been a person of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well and that he has personal knowledge that the posed to the good order and happiness of the United States, and that in his opinion the petitioner is in every way qualified to be admitted a citizen of the United dis- States.
