    "ocrText": "ORIGINAL\nUNITED STATES OF AMERICA\nPETITION FOR CITIZENSHIP\nNo. 3095\nTo the Honorable the\nSuperi ox\nCourt of\nGalifornia\nat\nSan Diego 25\nThe petition of\nMrs. Helga Hanaine Pedersen\nhereby filed, respectfully showa\n(1)\nMy\nplace of residence Bonair St., La Jolla, Cal .(2) My occupation is\nDressmaker\n(3)\nI was born in Grimstrup, Denmark\non Jany. 15 1905\nMy race is Scandinavian\n(4) I declared my intention to become a citizen of the United States on January 5 1928\nin the\nSuperior\nCourt of\nCalifornia\nat\nSan Diego, Galifornia\n-\n(5) am\nmarried. The name of or husband is\nEiner\nwe were married on\nOctober 19 1929\nat\nSan Diega, California\n: he was\nborn at\nKongerslev. Denmark\non August 29 1900\nNew York, New York\n; entered the United States\nat\non March 19 1923\nLa Jolla, California\nfor permanent residence therein, and now\nresides at\nI have\nno children, and the name, date,\nand place of birth, and place of residence of each of said children are as follows:\n(6) My last foreign residence was\nVarde\nDenmark\nI emigrated to the United States of\nAmerica from\nGopenhagen\nBenmark\nMy lawful entry for permanent residence in the United States\nwas at New York, New York under the name of Helga H. Jensen\non\nDecember 1 1923\non the vessel\nS. S. Frederik\nas shown by the certificate of my arrival attached hereto.\n(7) I am not a disbeliever in or opposed to organized government or a member of or affiliated with any organization or body of persons teaching disbelief in or opposed\nto organized government. I am not a polygamist nor a believer in the practice of polygamy. I am attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States\nand well disposed to the good order and happiness of the United States. It is my intention to become a citizen of the United States and to renounce absolutely and\nforever all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty, and particularly to\nCHRISTIAN x., KING OF DENMARK & ICELAND\nof whom (which) at this time I am a subject (or citizen), and it is my intention to reside permanently in the United States. (8) I am able to speak the English\n(9)\nI have I in the United 1923 States of America for the term of five years at least immediately preceding the date of this petition, to wit, since\nlanguage.\nand in the County of\nSan Diego\nthis State, continuously next preceding the date of this petition, since\nDecember 13 1923 being a residence within said county of at least\nsix months next preceding the date of this petition.\n(10) I have\nnot heretofore made petition for citizenship: Number\non\nat\nand such petition was denied by that Court for the following reasons and causes, to wit:\nand the cause of such denial has since been cured or removed.\nDepartment of Labor of my said arrival, and the affidavits of the two verifying witnesses required by law.\nAttached hereto and made a part of this. my petition for citizenship, are my declaration of intention to become a citizen of the United States, certificate from the\nWherefore, I, your petitioner, pray that I may be admitted a citizen of the United States of America, and that my name be changed to\nI, your sworn. and\naforesaid petitioner being duly depose say that I have { this petition and know the contents thereof; that the same is true of\nis signed by me with my full, true name.\nmy own knowledge except as to matters herein stated to be alleged upon information and belief, and that as to those matters I believe it to be true; and that this petition\nHelpe (Complete Hansine and true signature of petitioner) Pedersen\nAFFIDAVITS OF WITNESSES\nHausmine Jorgensen\noccupation\nHousewife\nresiding at\n4641 Thie Street, San Diego, Califomia\nMinnie Christianson\nand\noccupation\nHousewife\nresiding at\n4114 30th Street, San Diego. Califomia\neach\nacquainted in the United States with\nbeing severally, duly, and respectively sworn, deposes and says that he is a citizen of the United States of America; that he has personally known and has been\nHelge Hansine Pedersen\nthe petitioner above mentioned, since\nJulg\n1\n1925\nand that to his personal knowledge the petitioner has resided in the United States continuously preceding the date of filing this petition, of which this affidavit is a\npart, to wit, since the date last mentioned, and at\nSan. Diego\nin the\nCounty of San Diago\nthis State, in which the above-entitled petition is made, continuously since\nJuly 1 1925\npetitioner is and during all such periods has been a person of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well\nand that he has personal knowledge that the\nposed to the good order and happiness of the United States, and that in his opinion the petitioner is in every way qualified to be admitted a citizen of the United\ndis-\nStates.\nHanomine gongensen witness)\nMinnie Christiannen\n(Signature of witness)\nSubscribed and sworn to before me by the above-named petitioner and witnesses in the office of the Clerk of said Court at\nSan Diego, Cal.\nthis\n30th\nday of July Anno Domini 133 I hereby certify that certificate of arrival No. 23-8039\nfrom the Department of Labor, showing the lawful entry for permanent residence of the petitioner above named, together with declaration of intention No.\n4624\nof such petitioner, has been by me filed with, attached to, and made a part of this petition on this date.\nBy Distonison MoLees Deputy Clerk.
