The blood pressure runs a little high and this is not usually the case where people are run down in weight. This may be purely a nervous symptom. There is some evidence of disturbance of the thyroid gland. This matter should be talcen up with your physician. There are special methods of investigation such as a basal metabolism test, which would throw light on this condition. We could arrange this test at our office for you. We are sending you some diet suggestions that are usually helpful in increasing weight and correcting constipation, but all such suggestions are subject to modification by your physician. You are wearing a faulty type of ahoe and this may in time gause foot weakness. We call your attention to the leaflet on foot hygiene attached to your report, which outlines the proper type of shoes, and exercises to prevent weak foot. There was nothing elicited in the examination to suggest such a condition as occupational disease or metallic poisoning. We note your tendency to frequent sore throats.Th tonsils are somewhat defective. No doubt special treatment of the tonsils, or better still, their removal, would correct this tendency to frequent colds. In view of our suggestion that there is some over- activity of the thyroid gland, it is well to secure adequate hours of sleep and avoid as much as possible nervous overstrain. Exercise should be moderate but in the open as much as possible. Yours very truly, Medical Director.
