U.S.R.C. INTERIOR MEMORANDUM
Date 7/16/24
Subject
For Attention of Mr. Viedt.
Answering Memo. of
DRINKER'S REPORT.
A letter received from Dr. Drinker yesterday
reminds me to write you covering three points on this subject:
(1) Attached is a copy of his letter which
if it requires any comment is that the
conclusions are incomplete and this part of the investigation
apparently not over-thorough.
(2) How soon will you have the statistical
report covering attendance of all the
operators who have ever worked for us, or at least those for whom
we have records ?
(3) I think we have arrived at a point where
we should give out information very
reluctantly. There apparently is nothing to the situation so far
as we are concerned, so it is better to withhold statements, letters,
reports, etc. since they might be misconstrued, particularly if they
should fall into the hands of a certain class of people, who not
being gainfully employed, think it useful to stir up sensations.
Yours truly,
- A. Roeder -
AR/HM
Enc.
