Dr. Cecil K. Drinker,
c/o Harvard University
School of Public Health,
55 Ven Pyke St.,
Boston,
Mass.
Dear Dr. Drinker:
I have been out of tom so that acknowledgnent
of your letter of February 17 has been delayed. Before reply-
ing fully, I vant to very carefully review the report which you
sent.
It is very difficult to reconcile my impression
of Dr. Hoffman with the announcement that he proposes to deliver
a talk in front of the A. M. A. Convention on the subject of
"Radium Necrosis.
I have always thought that a presentation
of any subject before an important medical convention and by a
mon of standing was based on extensive research or investigation
or both. Such en investigation should at least cover the
United States, and vould hardly be complete without including
Switzerland and parts of Germany and France.
I appreciate very much your calling this matter
to my attention, and hope to be able to write you again in a very
fow days.
Yours truly,
President.
