April 9, 1925. Baward n. McGlyn, 810 Broad Strect, Newark, N. J. Dear Mr. NeClyn: I appreciate very nach your letter of April 8. I thinle undoubtedly Dr. Gilman Thompson would like to have Niss Carlough remain at the Reconstruction Hospital for a time at least. He can probably not determine the period before examination. I do not understand the legal side of the question at all, brat perhaps the payment of expenses might constitute a prejudice against us. In my opinion, however, the important thing is to learn definitely what this situation is. A report from Dr. Thompson arrived this morning and I em sending it along to you enclosed. Under heading 7, he malces certain recommendations which I an instructing lir. Viedt to follow out absolutely. The report is rather long and I have not delayed sending it to you in order to nolo a copy for lir. Stryker, but will advise him that you have it. During the next few days, it is my intention to sketch what I think are the importent points in the defense. This of course will carry only a layman's vieupoint, but will, I hope, be helpful to you. Thank you for securing the discontiming order. Yours truly, President. ARoeder-HDI Enclosure - It. Gilman Thompson's Report
