Mr. Josiah Stryker,
c/o Lindabury, Depue & Faulks,
Prudential Building,
763 Broad St.,
Newark,
N.J.
Dear Mr. Stryker:
I have sent along to you Dr. Ives' name
because from what Dr. Reitter said it looked to me as
though Dr. Ives would be very helpful if he could be
secured. Whether you should send some one to Philadelphia
to see the Doctor or whether Mr. McGlyn should take care of
it depends to a large extent on who is going to prepare the
case. I assume that Mr. McGlyn would handle this.
Our necessity is a legal defense that will
be as nearly perfect as it can be made. I do not know
enough about that end of it to decide what should be done
and what should not be done. I have worked along the line
of turning up everything that we could to place in McGlyn's
hands through you. If he should decline to do certain
things that you think ought to be done, we would probably
go ahead with them.
Did the hearing to have the case brought
forward take place last Saturday ? If so, have you heard
the result ?
Yours truly,
President.
