Pine Beach, N. J.
June 23rd., I925.
Judson M. Strong,
United States Radium Corporation,
30 Church St.,
New York City.
Dear Sir:
Recent newspaper reports have brought to the attention of
my associate, F. C. Benson, Jr., and myself, a new and important
phase of radium investigation of great scientific interest.
I am writing to you in the effort to obtain permission to
get together as much scientific information as possible in the cases
of the recent so-called "radium poisonings", and in so doing, may
open up information of value to you, as well as to ourselves.
As I understand it, you are personally acquainted with Dr.
Benson; as to myself, I am research worker to the Departments of
Radiology and Roentgenology at the Hahnemann Medical College in
Philadelphia. At the present time I am engaged in intensive X-Ray
and radium research, my personal work being of biophysical nature. In
conjunction with Drs. Benson and Frank, I am writing a book covering
all phases of modern radiology.
Hoping that this request may meet with your sanction, and
that the investigation may prove of value and help to all of us, I
remain,
Very truly yours,
