Mr. Josiah Stryker,
c/o Lindabury, Depue & Fmulks,
Prudential Building,
763 Brond Street,
Newark,
N. J.
Dear Mr. Stryker:
RM: CARLOUGH VS. U. S. RADIULI CORP. - 43059
X have your letter of the 24th
confirming our telephone conversation of yesterday
morning.
Will you undertake to see that the
details of settlement are carried out in such a way that
the possibility of publicity is minimized ?
It is
the publicity that has hurt us.
The business has
suffered radically and my only interest in settlement
is to stop it because in the real facts of the situation
we have by far the best of any case. Unfortunately
the yellow journals have to be reckoned with and we
cannot afford to have mich more of it.
I have sent Mr. McGlynn Dr. Flinn's bill
which is very reasonable. Dr. Flinn charged only for
his actual expenses and included no item for his own
service, so you see we are dealing with a different
type of scientist than those who may be worling for
our opponents.
Yours truly,
President.
