Mr. A. Roeder,
United States Radium Corporation,
New York Citym N.Y.
Dear Mr. Roeder's
I have just completed our blood examination of the
persons engaged in using your luminous material in Connecicutt.
I am glad to say that the picture presented by these persons
contains nothing that is of an alarming nature. One would expect to
find a similar pictuee if one were to examine any group of the same
age and living conditions and not engaged in this industry.
So far we have examined 45 girls twenty two percent of whom
have worked five years or more in the industry, and seventy five per
cent over a year. Half of them I think have had extractions in that
time and suffered no ill effects,
My animal experiments are still negative. As soon as I get my
report from Mr. Barker as to the radium contents of some material I
will render you a prelinary report.
I am enclosing a list of questions that I wish you would answer
if you can SO I can complete my study.
Sincerely yours
F.B. Flinn
