September
Fourteenth 1925 UNITED STATES
RADIUM CORP.
Mr. Arthur Roeder,
30 Church Street,
New York City.
Dear Mr. Roeder: -
My examination of the 36 employers at your
plant in Orange has been completed, and am sending a
tabulation of the results.
A study of the dental reports show no serious
lesions - and the dental work to be done, other than proplylaxis,
is of the ordinary varity. The list covers the individuals
that need to take care of their teeth.
A study of the blood shows a slight decrease in
the number of red cells in 12 individuals and Victor Roth has
a marked decrease. There is a moderate leucopinia ( decrease in
white cells) in 11 individuals and severe in two ( Roth and
Towersey). Roth shows improvement in his blood count after his
vacation
Twenty individuals have a hemoglobin of 80 % or
below. Eight are below 75 % This is to be expected, particularly
among those having a decrease in their cell counts.
It would seem that your policy of reducing the
number of working days per month, together with longer vacations
should show improvement in the blood pictures of these employers
in future counts.
Yours very truly,
G.S.R.
H.
