My dear Mr. Granger:
I am very much obliged indeed to you
for your letter of September 14 enclosing corres-
pondence with Joseph P. Knef of Newark.
We have been informed that this
gentleman is one of the instigators of the present
suit against,us. Whether this information is
reliable or not, I do not know. One thing that
I am sure of is that we are not going to use his
services in the defense.
