Dear Professor Fimn:
Some months ago you sent me a very interesting work on your
experiences in tetra ethyl lead. It is very interesting for me because the government
of Switzerland has forbidden the fabrication and importation of this benzin
I had the mischance to get a very serious polineuritis for some
months so that I could not give you any information on watch industry and application
of thorium preparation in our watch industry of Switzerland.
Since to day I had only nemative news no one of the inspectors
made observations of this lind. But I heard that the director and one of the
assistant
of the great fronch factory of this products died some months ago: both
with the same symptoms. without doubts by the continuous work with radium, thorium
and
similar substances.
I was invited by the dean of the medical school of the Harvard
University to give Dunham lectures but my toxique polineuritis will not permit me to
come to the United States this year.
I have sent to you.my latest work on poisonings #Jertumer in der
Vergiftungsdiagnose und Therapie" by the editor.
Very truly yours,
(signed) H. Zangger
