MSRC November 25, 1925. Mr. Edward R. McGlynn, 810 Broad Street, Newark, N. J. Dear Mr. McGlynn:- We are enclosing herewith a clipping from the New York Herald-Tribune of November 24th on the subject of radium, with the thought that such statements as this, of which there are many, might be of aid in a defence of our suit in re: Carlough. This article is typicalof the extreme ignorance shown generally throughout the country in regard to radium. You will note the article is given first page prominence and it has been generally published throughout the country. The actual fact is that the amount of radium lost was a 50 milligram tube and actually worth but $3500.00. The papers seem to thrive on gigantic exaggerations whenever radium is mentioned and the Newark press and the press generally throughout the country has been no exception when it comes to the Carlough and Kuser cases. Very truly yours, Treasurer. CBLee-CBO.
