U. S. Radium Corporation,
30 Church St.,
N. Y. C.
Attention of Mr. Clarence B. Lee.
Gentlemen:
We have been advised that in March, 1924,
Dr. Cecil Drinker of the Harvard School of Public Health
conducted an investigation of the working conditions at
your plant in Orange, and that this report was published
in the Journal of Industrial Hygiene in August of this
year. You probably have a copy of this report and we should
be obliged if you would let us have the same or obtain a
copy for us.
We also understand that Dr. Frederick L.
Hoffman, Statistician of the Prudential Life Insurance Co.,
made an investigation of the working conditions and visited
several of the girls who claimed that they were effected by
the disease, and that he made public his report last May be-
fore the convention of the American Medical Association in
Atlantic City. If you can obtain a copy of this report for
us we should be greatly obliged.
Very truly yours
Calline Clarbin
