COPY Tactory Department Zome Offico, Whitehall, London, S.W.l. Private December 4,1925 Doar Professor Flinn: Dr. Tridge has handed mo youx letter of the 13th, ultimo on the subject of the supposed effects of radium on workers, in the use of luminous paint. You have seen Dr. Roshor's roport, and that is the only ovidence we have of effect on the workers. It was as the result of what Dr. Overton found in tuo of the cases that it was thought woll to hand the tatter over to Dr. Rosher. Such limited inquiry as has been made hore has not revealed symptons in any way comparable with those described in the Journal of Industrial Hyglene as occuring in a Inctory in America. No case of necrosis has been browht to light, and I do not know of any jan necrosis in porsons who have woriced in this industry, outside of those reported from the United States. I em in close touch with the Medical Inspectors of Pactories on the Continent, and algo with the Director of the Medical Section of the International Laboux Office - Dr. L.Carozzi - and I am pretty sure to have had my attention called to such cases, if they had boen observed. They will be on the watch now. Believe me, Youzo very truly, (signod) T.D. Legre Senior Medical Inspector of Factories Proffessor F.B.Flinn, Dollege of Physicions & Syrgoons, Columbia University, New York
