HORNER 763 BROAD STREET, NEWARK, N.U. EUGENE A.M. PIAGET HENRY YOUNG, JR. January 221 1926. the A. Roeder, President, Uniter U. S. Radium Corporation, Pading 30 Church St. New York City. Dear Mr. Roeder, I have your letter of the 21st inst. and was certain that you would take the view which you have expressed. In fact, I wrote to Mr. McGlynn on Wednesday expressing surprise at the attitude of his company and telling him that it was my understanding that every expert retained had either been re- tained by him or with his consent and he has written me a very frank letter today saying that he was not surprised at my letter but that I need not be alarmed, as the New York office of the insurance company is in error when it states that the expenses and compensation of experts retained with his approval were not to be paid by it. In view of this letter, I do not believe that a conference on the subject is now necessary for it is quite apparent that Mr. McGlynn in- tends to insist that his company pay the expenses and com- pensation of these experts. Mr. McGlynn further states, however, that Mr. Kalisch has expressed a doubt as to whether he can now secure a settlement of the case. I will take up this matter further with him. Yours very truly,
