Continuation of Experiemt a on the Determination of the Rate of Excretion of Radium Solutions Injected Intravenous! 1y into Guinea Pigs. page 3. Experiment 6. 14 days after the injection one pig was killed and incinerated, weight of ash, 17.52 Brans. Radium found 1.31 and 1.27, average 1.29 micrograms. Experiment 7. Two of the pigs died three weeks after the in- jection was made Both were incinerated and sent to the lab- oratory for analysiss Pig a. Weight of ash, 14.04 grans. Radium found, 1.63, 1.56, 1.57, 1.58, average 1.59 micrograms. Pig b. Weight of ash, 17.50 grams. Radiium found, 0.82, 0.89, 0.86, 0.91 average 0.87 micrograms. I un unable to account for the variation in the quantities of radium found in the two pigs of Experimant 7. It would seen that they should show better agreement than they do, also, the quantities found are not in line with what we would expect from the previous pigs analyzed. The resulte reported represent duplicate determinations by two different methods made at different times, consequently they cannot be far wrong. H. H. Barker. Physical Laboratories, January 25, 1926.
