January 27th, 1926. just Dr. L. M. Boyers, Berkeley, Calif. Dear Dr. Boyers:- We are familiar with the A.M.A. article you spoke of in your letter of January 19th. Radium element has been in use for a good many years for the treatment of cancer and other conditions and yet every once in a while we note articles by surgeons stating that radium is without benefit. The internal administration of radium is much less known than its use in needles, tubes and plaques and it is not at all strange that there should be divided opinions regarding its efficacy. As a commercial company we are, of course, in no position to take sides in a controversy of this sort. We note an increasing use of Radium Chloride ampoules and Radium Emanation water machines on the part of the medical profession, which is to our mind a rather convincing proof that physicians are finding the use of radium internally of benefit. Very truly yours, General Sales Manager. JMStrong-MG.
