February 5, 1926. Mr. Josiah Stryker, c/o Lindabury, Depue & Faulles, Prudential Building, 763 Broad St., Newark, N.J. Dear Mr. Stryker: I know very little about negotiations for settling law suits, and while I am convinced that we are blameless in the Carlough case, the publicity has been very injurious to the Radium business and for that reason I would like to avoid litigation. This coupled with your advice and the status of affairs as I understand them leads me to the conclusion that McGlynn should respond to Kalisch's overtures and do so promptly. It seems to me better that he should tell Kalisch that as far as he can see, he can get $10,000.00 for settlement of all cases. Then, pending Kalisch's reply, you could I hope bring matters to a final point with the two insurance companies. I think your suggestion of the 4th is good. Would be glad to have you follow it through. Yours truly, President. ARoeder-IIM
