RE: CARLOUGH VS U.S. RADIUM CORPORATION
Edward R. McGlynn, Esq
810 Broad St.,
Newark, N. J.
Dear lr. McGlynn,
I have your letter of the 15th inst. I am surprised
to note that Mr. Kalisch's terms of settlement have gone up.
Why does he now demand $1500. for Mr. Kuzer when originally he
was willing to settle his claim for $500? Why does he de-
mand an extra $1500. in payment of his fee when originally he
contemplated securing that from the amounts paid his clients
in settlement?
It seens to me that Mr. Kalisch is bluffing.
I would be glad, however, to have your view as you have been
in direct touch with him.
How mich will your client, the American Insurance
Company, be willing to increase its contribution if a settle-
ment is to be made on the terms suggested by Mr. Kalisch?
Yours very truly,
S
