March 9, 1926. Radium Health Laboratories, 1614 W. Washington Boulevard, Los Angeles, California. Attention - Mrs. Clair Charles. Dear Mrs. Charles: We have your letter of March 1st, regarding the article in the American Weekly of February 28th. This article appear- ed in all the Hearst papers and brings the far reaching effects of such publicity. As far as combating such articles in the press, it is rather generally conceded that such a mentod is unfevorable. It merely keeps the argument going in the public mind. We understand Dr. Flinn's report is practically completed and will be ready for publication shortly. This report will em- body conclusions from a painstaking and impartial investigation. We will advise you as soon as the report is ready. There have been no further developments with respect to the damage suits mentioned in your letter. The writer has personally talked with several physicians who have given radium internally for many years and none of them are inclined to give credence to current rumors. Very truly yours, General Sales Manager. JMStrong-VM
