March 29, 1936.
Mr. Josish Stryker,
c/o Lindsbury, Depue & Feulles,
Prudential Building.
763 Broad Street,
Newark, N. J.
Dear 11r. Strylter:
To answer your inquiry of March 37th, a
inver of months ago, 10P. Mr. Tems, Mr. Lee, and myself
called on Dr. W. (Mlman Thompson, 17 West 53rd Street, New York.
Dr. Thompson is well known for industrial hygione work in
industry, and I believe does a grent deal for the Standard Oil
Company.
At that time, Dr. Thompson said that he would
get in touch with Dr. Flinn whom he thought would be very valuable
to us because of his wide experience and because of his uniquel
research fecilities. Dr. Flinn is associated with Columbia
University, The College of Physicians and Surgeons, in the
Institute of Public Hoalth. lle is a non of the highest type.
After leaving Dr. Thompson's office, while
walking down Sixth Avenue, I discussed this recommendation with
Mr. Mc01ynn and he said to proceed. Later 18 was quite apparent
that Dr. Thompson could not contribute DB much to the situation as
Dr. Flim, and IF. Flinn was continued and Dr. Thompson discontimied.
The only expenses that were incurred for the
Insurance Company were the first conference with Dr. Thompson and
his preliminary report, which added nothing to the lmowledge of the
situation; the bill from Dr. Flinn, whose work is masterful and who
has industriously pushed his investigation over a period of a mumber
of months and incidentally has charged only for his expenses: and
in addition on Item charged by the Ingersoll Watch Company, Ltd. of
London for on investigation carried on there at the suggestion of
Dr. Flinn and from which valuable date was received.
The Thompson bill is $250.00
Dr. Flinn's item is
-
1,653.00
The account with London is £14. 14 9. for which we hold a receipt.
Yours truly,
President.
