Dear Mr. Roeder:- On my return from Jamaica there has been brought to my notice an illustrated article in one of the New York Sunday Papers relating to your business and your troubles. The malevolence that permeates the whole malicious story with its injustice and meanness, prompts me to extend to you my deepest sympathy. I can quite picture the distress that would come to me were I in your position, from a burden that would almost seem unbearable. I want you to know that one and all of us feel deeply for you. There is usually some sunshine behind the darkest clouds and I am hoping that you will find it is so in this case.
