RECEIVE Cohmbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons EPIDEMIOLOGY INDUSTRIAL HYGIENE 437 WEST 59TH street, NEW YORK PUBLIC HEALTH ADMINISTRATION INSTITUTE OF PUBLIC HEALTH SANITARY SCIENCE April I6 I926 Mr Roeder, U ited States Radium Corporation, Radinm Corporation United States New York City, N.Y. My dear Mr Roeder: I find that I owe you a letter of apology for not acknowledging the receipt of your check for the expenses incurred in my radium study. I wrote you the letter but somehow or other it got mixed up with some other papers and was filed away. As soon as I receive a check from the insurance company I will send it to you. I am expecting to go out to Chicago on the 24th of this month to examine the girls in the plant of the Radium Dial Company. This will give me a large number of girls engaged in painting dials and will help my paper very much. This information is more or less confidential. The following is an extract from the Department of Labor and Industry of Pennsylvania. # I was also glad to have your opinion on the blood picture which you feel indicates a lowered resistance. It seems to me that if these two methods of examining an individual are negative, that such individuals should be considered free from any deleterious effects resulting from the substances they are handling." Again thanking you for your courtesies in the past, I am Your very truly Fredenih B.O.lm
