Gentlement-
Enclosed herowith you will find an article entitled
"Radio Active Naterial an Industrial Hasard?", by Dr. Proderior B. Vinn,
Ph. D., Assistant Professor of Physiology in Industrial Hygione, Colloge
of Phystcians and Surgeons, Columbia University, which treate of the
so called "radium necrosis* or radium poisoning cases. The investigation
by Dr. Finn, which formed the basis of his articls, has been by far the
most thorough and fax readhing work undertaken on this subject. This
article will appear in one of the early issuas of the Journal of the
American Medical Association.
it seems that the charge of "gadiun poisoning"
caused the death of several girls (which charge was widaly advertised
throwgh the press a few months ago) is entirely unfounded, we naturally
hesitate - without further investigation - to malca the brond statement
that radium in luminous material is although wo believe this
to be the case Therefore, in order to be on the safe sido, we cention
you, if you have not already done so, to order your operatora not to
point their application brushes between their lips.

on the subject, we shall be glad to paas it along to you.
