PERSONAL AND CONFIDENTIAL
Mr. Edward Ingraham, Purchasing Agent,
The E. Ingraham Company,
Bristol, Conn.
Dear Mr. Ingrahamt-
Thanks for the clipping enclosed in your letter
of October 20th. We knew of this case, but had seen no publicity
until your clipping arrived.
For your information. I may say that the Waterbury
people had as exhaustive examination made of their girls on Monday
and Tuesday of this week. I will have more information by the latter
part of the week. According to present plans, I expect to be in
Bristol Wednesday, October 27th, at which time I should be in & posi-
tion to give you complete information.
Referring to the last aaragraph in your letter,
we can not understand how anyone could sell a radium dial clock for
$1.00 retail. So far as our information, and we feel that we are
well posted, there are none of the American concerns using a lower
grade on radium dials than Undark "L". It is true that there are
some foreign clocks imported from time to time of a very low grade
dial, and it may be that some of these have been sold as low as $1.
each. We shall endeavor to che this point and if we find any
information of interest, will C tainly pass it along to you.
Yours truly,
President.
