with its decay products inclusive of radium aça emits 14.88 x 1010 alpha particles per second, one is able to compute in terms of radium element the number of milligrams of radium element in such organs as were found to be active. As you will recall I did not make quantitative mesothorium determinations in the Leman case, neither have I in that of Miss Dunn, although I made qualitative determinations to establish that mesothorium as well as the radium decay products of slow change were present in the bone. The data serves to indicate that the bone is the only organ which shows anything more than a trace of radio-activity, which according to my mothod of computation shows in the neienbor- hood of 140 to 150 micrograms, while the other organs combined show loss than 0.1 micrograms. Very truly yours, Vice President. HHBarker :RH
