Attention: Mr. Smith: Gentlomen: In accordance with your suggestion we have sent to the Aetna Life Insurance Company and the New Amsterdam Casualty Company, copies of the notice of the Bill in Chancery served on us by Potter & Berry, regard- ing the Grace Fryer case against this corporation. We are, however, enclos- ing herewith aopy of this notice to you. We are also writing to Mr. Markley of Collins and Corbin, sending to him a copy of this notice. Since we have 20 days from the 29th of this month in which to answer, we suggest that it might be advisable to withhold answer until we have had an opportunity to chedic up with Doctor Frederick B. Flinn on the question as to whether Doctor McCaffery, who treated Miss Fryer, pronounced this a radium poisoning case in the early part of 1924. It is our impress- ion that this is tane. Dr. Flinn is now on a vacation, but we are writing him today on this point, and we shall communicate with you just as soon as we have had any word from him. We mailed to you today a copy of "The Interpretation of Radium" by Soddy. This is one of the most authentic publications on the subject of radium, and we trust you will find it interesting. Very truly yours, President. CBLeetRH enc.
