My conduot there was striotly in accordance with in-
structions. I have little or no mowledge of physics or
chenistry and I was to tally unsoguainted with the chemical
or physical nature of the aubstances which I was handling
while in the employ of the United States Radium Corporation.
I was, or course, aware from the name of the Corporation,
that radium was possibly used in the Juninous past applied
to the watches, although, this was purcly a presumption,
singe wo were never instruoted as to the ingredients which
we handled and had no moens of assertaining what the in-
gredients notually wezo, but naturally supposed that we weze
not being asked to handle anything poisonous.
5. whon I woriced at the plant of the United
States Radium Corporation, I folt well. I had always been
well and have had practioally no illness all my lifo. I
left the United States Corporation because I wanted
to get more agroeable employmente I continued feeling well
after I left the United States Radium Corporation for some
timo. Around June of 3982, I begon to have pains in my
baok and feet. Believing that this was meroly a slight at-
taok of zheumation, A did nothing about ite These paina
continesde In January of 1023, I made a oustomary trip to
the dontist, Dr. Josoph Albert of Main Street, Orange. Dr.
Albert filled several davities and looloed over my teeth gen-
ezally and extracted two teeth on the lower loft side of my
jaw whidh seened too decayed for any ther treatmente After
these were extracted, my jaw ave me moh trouble for about
two wooks, and the bone was sorapede My jaw then apparently
healed upe This was neroly apparent, however, for underneath,
the name process of deosy actually wont on as has subsequently
