Apr 11 23, 1984. on that occasion, Dr. MeCaffery performed an operation on my jaw, outting out some of the bone. Sinoe that time I have continually been going to see Dr. MeCaffery who has at various timos, porformed be tween fifteen end twenty operations, ouretting my jaw and removing pieces of the bone. Nearly all of my testh have been removed. The decay process, however, etill appeazed to be spreading While I was being troated for trouble in my jaw in 1924, Dr. Humphries continued to treat my and foot throughout that year. Feoling that I got no relief from this treatment, I discontinued it and in Jamury of 1985, vent to a Dre Maxy Miller of 13 Washington Street, East Orange, who gave me chiropractic treatment. This was, howerer, so painful, that I soon discontinued. Very late in 1924, Dr. Hazrison Martland of Newaric, requested me to come to see hime I went to him and he asked me to come again several times, during which visits he took specimens of my blood. He did not tell me why he was doing this nor did he trent He simply said that it was for experinental pur- poses. In July of 1925, however, he informed mo that he had made a thorough Anvestigation and that from his tests, he ocula inform ne that my systen showed the presence of radio- aotive substances, He advised me to return to the Oxtho- paedio Hompital. I subsequently went baok to the Orthopaedic Hospital whore Z-ray pistures wore taken or my baok and foot and it was liscovered that two of the vertebrae in my baok were destroyed and that ono of the bones in my foot was destroyed. Since my retum to the Orthopaedic Hospital, I have neen Dr. Humphrios frequently. Ho strapped my foot and ankle first to hold it together, and then construsted a steel brace for my foot and likewise a steel support to hold
