U.S. Radium Corporation, 535-537 Pearl Street, New York, N.Y. RADIUM LUMING MATERIAL CON Gentlemen: The improvements suggested below are intended to better the conditions found to exist at your premises at the time of a recent inspection. We desire your co-operation in an effort to reduce the fire hazard. Will you kindly let us have a report within five days, stating progress in making conditions satisfactory. TO b CHIEF Wahlgren INSPECTOR. 535-537 PEARL STREET AND 30-32 ELM STREET 8th-Remove vent pipe of wood and asbestos closet used as vent for laboratory room, where passing through ceiling and floor opening with like material as floor. 9th-Place 3 gas stoves on course of 4 inch hollow tile or on iron stands having 4 inch legs and substitute rigid iron pipe in place of present flexible tube connections. 9th-Store and handle stock of lacquer and thinner as per specifications. Remove motor from under spray hood and place same outside of hood. ACMcK: ED.
