November 28th,1927.
Dr. Alice Hamilton,
Industrial Department,
Harvard University Medical School,
Boston, Mass.
Dear Dr. Hamilton:
Dr. Emerson handed me your letter of November 15
and a copy of his reply.
I would like to correct several of the errors in
your letter. I was first brought into the radium problems by the
late Professor Gilman Thompson in March, 1925, nine months before I
ever had any interview with the Consumers' League.
I was never employed by the Consumers' League
in any shape or manner.
I was never employed by the United States Radium
Corporation in the sense that I have received any compensation for
my work.
The article in the "Laryngoscope" was a paper read
before a Section of the Academy of Medicine by invitation and sent
off for publication without my knowledge. The title was given to
it by some other person than myself.
I am still studying the matter and think it is too
complicated for any definite decision yet.
Yours truly,
Frederick B. Flinn
