1-C-353602 2. At 4:50 P.M. the body was subjected to autopay by Dr. Armin V. St. George. The body was dreased in ladies' underclothes and white dress, black leather pumps and stockings. The body was that of an adult female, about 5'6" in height. The body had been embalmed through the right brachial artery. The whole of the lower jaw was missing, with the exception of the coronoid process on the left side; this was taken for subsequent examination. The mouth was stuffed with cotton. Both upper jaw bones were removed in pie ces and retained for subsequent examination. Also the segond, third, fourth, fifth and seventh cervical vertebrae, the fifth to the ninth ribs, inclusive, on the right side, both feet, the entire right leg--fenur, tibia and fibula, the left femur and the skull oap were removed and kept for subsequent examination. These were taken to the Pathologioal Laboratory at Bellevue Hospital and subsequently divided between Dr. Gettler, of Bellevue Hospital, and Dr. Finn, of dolumbia University. Dr. Gettler reports to me that electroscopio examination of the bones ahowed radie-active substances in excessive quantities. He has also shown me photographic representations of the emanations from the bones. None of the vicera showed digease of any description. Specimens were taken from all of them for miscroscopie examination which, however, revealed only marked postmorten changes. Very truly yours, DOUGLAS SYMMER ( M.D.) BEN JANIE SCHWARTZ (M.D.)
