April 11th, 1928. Mr. Burton E. Emory, Aetna Life Insurance Co., 100 William St., N.Y.C. Dear Mr. Emery: We are wondering if Dr. Archer has been successful in getting the sample of ashes from Miss Maggia's body, which we propose to send to Dr. Herman Schlundt, of the University of Missouri, for radio-activity test. If there is any chance of our being successful in this matter the sample should be sent on to Dr. Schlundt not later than this week, which even at that would give him very little time to make a determination before the trial comes up on the 25th of this month. If the test cannot be hooked up in an official way, it would seem to be desirable to send a sample of the specimen now in Dr. Archer's possession. Dr. Schlundt will be leaving the latter part of next week for New York, to aid us in the preparation of the technical end of our defense. Very truly yours, President. CBLee:RH
