Report of Elizabeth C. Lewis:
April 25, 1928.
F. J. Lewis lanufacturing Co.,
Dorenns Avenue,
Nowark, N. J.
At the office of the above factory, interviewed a
Miss McHaffey. Said the factory was formorly owned and operat-
ed by Buttorworth & Judson. Soon after the World's Wax they
went into bankruptcy and were thrown into the hands of receivers.
Factory and equipment was sold outright at auetion and purchased
by a western concern, the F. J. Lewie Manufacturing Company.
They have no records of Butterworth & Judson on file at their
plant. Whore I would be able to obtain eame ehe could not say.
Referred me to a firm of lawyors in How York, Rushnore, Bisbee
& Stearns, attorneys who represented Butterworth & Judson in
receivership and would be in position to state where records
are located.
