Dr. Herman Schlundt,
University of Missouri,
Room 110 New Chemistry Bldg.,
Columbia, Mo.
Dear Dr. Schlundt:
Mr. Lee and I had luncheon with Dr. Flinn, and
in discussing our various problems it seemed to us all that it would
be very desirable to complete the experiments with regard to establish-
ing the sensitiveness of electroscopic determinations on human beings,
and in this connection we were wondering if you would care to come to
New York for two weeks, or such a matter, to complete these experiments.
Dr. Flinn has suggested introducing radium intraven-
ously into dogs. and then making determinations to establish the
accuracy of the different methods.
Dr. Flinn has planned on taking his vacation some
time during July or August, but states that in case you would care to
come on for a fewweeks he would be glad to alter his vacation plans to
meet with any you might have.
This work would undoubtedly furnish the material for
a very creditable publication, and we hope that you will feel suffic-
iently interested to justify your giving it the required time. The
United States Radium Corporation is interested in establishing this
data, and in this connection we would be willing to pay your expenses
in connection with the investigation.
will you kindly ve this your consideration, and
advise us at your earliest convenience so that Dr. Flinn may proceed
with his plans? In the event that you are able to come on please set
the date as soon as you can so that we may have everything in readiness
to proceed with the experiments at once.
Sincerely yours,
Vice President.
